Introducing the SLC3 – a Five-Spoke One-Of-A-Kind

Now that 2018 is in full swing we thought that it was about time to introduce the newest member of the Klutch family; the SLC3. Now, we know what you’re thinking ‘isn’t that just another five-spoke rim?’ Well, you should know by now that here at Klutch, we never settle for the ordinary and none of our wheels are ‘just another rim.’ 

                                                    

Yes, at first glance the SLC3 might look like a traditional five-spoke alloy with its star-like wheel face design, but take a closer look, and you’ll see that there’s nothing traditional about this wheel. In fact, we would even say that this rim is one-of-a-kind. 

The first and most obvious feature that sets this wheel apart from similar rims is what some might describe as its lip-within-a-lip style. The inner wheel face is framed in a raised lip that features one of our latest design innovations. Yes, it’s those slots that you may recognize from our SLC2 rims. They are superbly understated additions that create a unique and flowing design feature when your car is rolling down the street. A feature that is further accentuated by the rim’s outer lip. 

                                                      

But this is the Klutch design team, and as you may know by now, one understated feature is never enough. So this time around we also decided to do something a little special at the center of the rim setting each bolt hole within a lower recess. We then channeled that recess out towards the open spaces in the rim drawing more attention to the center of the wheel. It’s an incredibly simple tweak, but in terms of the overall look, it makes a massive difference to the wheel. The center of the rim now has a more angular and aggressive style as opposed to the usual circular bolt hole recesses you find on most wheels. 

                                                       

So what about the size? Well, the good news is that this wheel is available in three sizes 20×9 | 20×10 | 20×11. So whether your ride is an everyday sedan like the Chevrolet Impala and the Chrysler 300, or it’s something with a bit more punch like the Dodge Challenger or the Audi RS5, the SLC3 is the perfect fit. 

The SLC3 is available in silver matte finish or gloss black with a chrome outer lip which if we’re totally honest is our favorite. There’s just something about the spin of the chrome outer lip that makes the gloss black wheel face pop.
